Are you passionate about horses? This is a beautiful, privately owned, small equestrian facility and are looking for experienced, responsible, reliable full-time OR part-time Barn Workers AND Grooms who can assist with maintaining our horses and facilities.
We are located close to Minneapolis, MN and the barn is heated with a fully enclosed center aisle barn. We are seeking individuals who are highly qualified, with exceptional attention to detail, who may be searching for a position at a farm with a slower pace with the intent to stay long term.
Job Duties
- Participating in the continual process of cleaning the facility
- Mucking stalls/paddocks
- Feeding/watering horses/ Filling hay nets
- Turn horses in/out
- Monitoring horses for injury and illness
- Grooming, helping with farrier and veterinary appointments
- Assisting with landscaping
- Fence repairs
- Assist with other projects as needed
Experience required
- 5+ years of barn worker experience
- 5+ years of handling horses
- Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without assistance
- Ability to operate a tractor and other small farm machinery
Hours
- 7:30am-4:30pm
- Or flexible for a part time position
