We are looking for an experienced ranch manager that is ready and able to help us take our whitetail & exotic game ranch to the next level. You must be computer literate and have experience with heavy equipment as well as wildlife. We want someone who can foresee problems and design and implement solutions with both the assistance of onsite staff as well as coordinating with outside contractors. We are a quality-over-quantity location where our high-end clientele can experience the best of what Southwest Texas has to offer. We have all the pieces in place to make this happen except for you!

Full-Time Working Ranch Manager for Whitetail & Exotic Game Hunting Ranch in SW Texas

Duties:

  • Coordinate, manage or complete all maintenance on property (Lodge, grounds and equipment)
  • Coordinate, manage or complete all safety and security procedures
  • Coordinate, manage or plan for all subs, hunters, owners coming and going from property
  • Hire and fire labor as needed, manage on-site full time staff and hired subcontractors
  • Research and make recommendations for projects as assigned
  • Operate/maintain vehicles, heavy/small equipment
  • Coordinate, manage or plan hunting operations, procedures, etc.
  • Book hunts and follow up on potential guest inquiries, schedule guides/cooks, etc.
  • Effectively communicate plans, problems and schedule to managing owner
  • Coordinate, manage or complete construction projects as needed
  • Review property for preventative maintenance and create schedules
  • Make cost benefit analysis on repairing, replacing equipment, property, etc.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Able to operate basic ranch equipment
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Understanding of budgets and how to work within them
  • General mechanical, welding, and construction experience
  • Game processing and hunting regulations
  • Steady, honest, and reliable
  • Ability to work independently as well as in group settings
  • excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills
  • Basic accounting
  • Computer / smart phone literate (e-mail, Microsoft Excel, Word, etc)
  • Calendar and client booking reporting via various computer programs
  • Customer Service and/or Hospitality experience
  • Spanish speaking is a plus, but not required
  • Positive Attitude
