TITLE: General Ranch Hand (full-time)
LOCATION: New Plymouth, Idaho
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR: We are currently a little operation with big plans. If you want to get in with a great team and build something cool this is for you. We are passionate about building a premier operation for both quality horses and consumer direct beef. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree is required.
Experience: At least one year of experience working on a ranch or horse facility.
Skills:
- Love of technology, from websites and marketing, to using tech to keep records and keep us on track.
- Willing to contribute, help us build this thing, we are not the place that has all the answers.
- Just like we don’t have all the answers, it won’t work if you do. This is a collaborative effort you need to be teachable.
- Self-starter, willing to jump in and go.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Duties change as the seasons do and include, but are not limited to:
- Marketing and promoting consumer-direct beef, horses, and colts.
- Provides general care to livestock by feeding, providing directed health care, and assisting with breeding, and calving.
- Performs regular and directed ranch maintenance.
- Safely operates light vehicles and machinery such as pick-up trucks, tractors, and riding mowers, following operator instructions, and wearing appropriate safety equipment such as goggles, gloves, or other protective clothing.
- Ensure that farm/ranch machinery, equipment, and tools are operational by performing routine and preventative maintenance and cleaning machinery, equipment, and tools and making minor repairs within demonstrated capability.
- Requires the ability to work out-of-doors, year-round, in all types of weather.
SALARY: If you are the right person we will pay market or above. We don’t have a permanent place for you to live, so we will have quite a bit to talk about and figure out.
