We are a family ran farm since 1920. We grow grain, potatoes, and sugar beets. We are in Pingree, Idaho. Here at Reed farms, we do everything from planting, harvesting to maintaining equipment. We strive to improve and do the best job we can every year.
Job Summary
Reed farms is seeking a hardworking and reliable individual to join our team as a farmhand/mechanic. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining our farm equipment, including irrigation systems, planting, and harvesting crops, and assisting with general farm maintenance. The ability to weld, perform electrical work, and perform general labor tasks is a plus.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in agriculture. Knowledge of sugar beets, grain and potato production is a plus but not required.
- Mechanic experience and ability to operate and maintain farm equipment.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, with the ability to operate and maintain them.
- Welding and electrical experience is a plus but not required
- Willingness to perform general labor tasks
- Ability to work long hours in various weather conditions
- Effective communication & problem solving skills
- Self-motivated & willing to work as a team
Pay
We offer competitive pay based on experience. Willing to help with housing if needed.
