Transition Ranch
Transition Ranch is 2,300 acres located in Texas’ Southern Hill Country.
This private ranch is predominantly used by friends and family, however, on occasion we do host paying hunters and photographers.
We are looking for a long-term, on-site couple, that values the peacefulness of living in a remote environment with no visible neighbors.
Ranch Responsibilities:
- All aspects of deer management and hunting which includes buying feed, filling feeders, maintaining water.
- Horse feeding and stable maintenance
- Operating tractor for road maintenance, etc.
- Brush Maintenance
- Maintain waterlines
- Planting, maintaining, a garden
- Care and feeding of 25 laying hens
- Other general ranch duties
- Helpful skills – Mechanical and Welding
There is an opportunity for people that are versed in Wildlife Photography to earn extra money as a photography guide.
Domestic Responsibilities:
- Keep main house, lodge, tack room and casitas clean
- Laundry
- Light cooking on occasion
Requirements:
- Couple must live on the ranch
- Must be able to do heavy lifting such as feed bags, hay, etc.
- Drive a tractor for road maintenance
- Must be non-smokers
Housing and a truck for ranch work are included.
