We are a family farm and ranch operation currently employing 20 employees to which most have been employed 5 years or more.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general bookkeeping duties, including maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and reconciling accounts. This includes providing monthly and year end reports to owners & CPA.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial transactions
- Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments
- Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
- -Coordinating insurance such as workman’s comp, property, and liability insurance
- -Answering phones, handling mail, weighing commodities in and out, and assisting employees as needed.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, minimum of 3 years in bookkeeping field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office Suite, specifically Quickbooks & Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Tracking commodity or vendor transactions
Preference given for post high school education
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
