Minimum Required Qualifications

  • High School Education or equivalent
  • At least 3 yrs of working experience on a farm/ranch performing work caring for livestock, all fence types, hay production, operating and maintaining farm equipment (tractors, mowers, chain saws, etc. as required).
  • Skills include being able to read English language sufficiently to understand written directions to properly and safely use all products in agriculture work. Proper operation and maintenance of farm machinery, tractors and agriculture equipment. Skill in use of CO/Mig welder and cutting tools is preferred.
  • Possess or being able to acquire a Missouri driver’s license is required.
  • Requires the ability to work in all types of weather, ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis, prolonged walking, standing, frequent bending, stooping, kneeling and reaching on a daily basis, full range of motion in order to operate manual, electrical, diesel or gasoline powered farm machinery, tools and equipment. Be able to perform in high working conditions (roof repairs etc.).

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Perform general farm/ranch duties as assigned; fence, pasture and grounds maintenance (mowing and raking hay, planting, cutting trees, pen maintenance etc.).
  • Provide general care of livestock (feeding, health, branding, calving, lambing, moving etc.).
  • Safley operate pickup trucks, tractors, all farm machinery, equipment and tools.
  • Perform regular and directed maintenance on equipment, be able follow either written or verbal directions for a safe work environment
