Hattersfield Farm / River Mile 38
Three years ago, we purchased a small farm and micro-brewery in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We have 90 acres of forest (~25 years old) where we plan on building small cabins for people to camp. In addition, we have 40 acres of pasture/farmland where we will be building a greenhouse/orchard and a sustainable, organic farm, that can supply food to our brewery's restaurant, hops for our beers, and produce/products for local farmer's markets. Our brewery produces over 200 barrels of beer a year, and we've won multiple awards for our product.
The work would be between both our brewery and farm. Potential job responsibilities would include helping to build new farm infrastructure, hunting/trapping, farm maintenance, machinery upkeep, beer sales/deliveries, farmers' markets sales, planting/harvesting, electrical/plumbing/construction, etc. Most work would be independent, so we are looking for an individual who is flexible, interested, hard-working, reliable, thorough, and curious to learn new things. Experience in brewing/farming is not required, but ability to work w/ machines/mechanics is a big plus.
