Hey there! We are seeking a reliable and experienced Farm Hand and possibly a House Keeper (domestic couple) to join us in managing our recently purchased 180-acre farm.

We plan to continue the farm’s tradition of grow hay as well as raise a small herd of beef cattle. The ideal candidates will have previous experience with cattle as well as crop management. You must be willing to work on a wide a variety of tasks.

We would also love to find a House Keeper that is willing to taking on house management duties, but this is not mandatory.

Responsibilities for the Farm Hand:

Operate and maintain tractors and farm equipment
Familiar with all types of tools
Perform landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming hedges, pulling weeds, raking leaves and other standard yard work during summer
Fixing and maintaining fences and buildings
Snow maintenance during winter
Maintain hay fields including planting, irrigation, harvest and meeting clients purchasing the hay
Care for cattle’s basic needs including but not limited to feeding, watering, help during calving and basic checking of general herd health
Be flexible to work on any of the numerous types of projects that come up on a property of this kind
Be open to helping at either our 700 head dairy farm or at our 130 employee electrical company during the slower winter months. (Both of which are located near by)
Flexibility to work off days and hours especially during calving season

Responsibilities for the Housekeeper:

We would love to find a domestic couple where we can also have someone willing to taking on some house keeping duties, but again this is not mandatory!

The right fit would be someone willing cleaning the home located on the property as well as several immediate family members who live near by.

Cooking / preparing meals
Grocery shopping
Possibly laundry

Compensation:

We will offer competitive pay and benefits based on experience, skills and if it is a domestic couple or single farm hand. Pay could also possibly including housing in the two-bedroom apartment located in the shop on the property.
