Manage and operate cattle and hay farm

  1. Applicant must know cattle
  2. Work cattle – vaccinate, worm, sort and brand
  3. Tend fences – repair as needed
  4. Operate tractors, till, plant, cut, rake, bale, fertilize, and weed kill
  5. Take Cattle to market
  6. Operate and manage daily hay operation, cutting and sales of square and round bales
  7. Check property and cattle as necessary
  8. Maintain equipment
  9. Must have own vehicle
  10. File, manage pedigrees, register cattle
  11. Must be computer literate

This operation runs 250 – 500 head of cattle and bales over 3,000 round bales a year. The Ranch is a family run operation, and does not include benefits. Applicant must be a worker and love the outdoors. Housing is negotiable.

An AG degree is preferred and applicant should have 10 years of experience in hands on ranching / farming.

Salary range $50K to $65K per year. Location is in La Grange, Texas.
