Basic Duties:
- Works with the ranch manager.
- Year-round maintenance and upkeep of property grounds.
- Year-round maintenance of irrigation and well systems.
- Year-round maintenance and upkeep of property buildings, equipment, vehicles, fencing and roads.
- Basic handy-person duties, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, light construction, and repair.
- Animal care for horses, chickens & barn clean up.
- Assist with additional task as directed by the ranch manager/owners.
Qualifications:
- Ability to operate tractors and heavy equipment.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Ability to work alone and with others.
- Skilled in operating a zero turn and weed eater.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions involved with grounds keeping, operating machinery, chainsaws.
- Dependable, punctual, good character, sound decision making skills, mindfulness and self-motivated.
- Assist in fulfilling the wildlife management plan. (Cedar clearing, strip mowing, and other task as needed)
- Horse care & riding experience preferred.
- Mechanical skills (Diesel engines, Polaris upkeep/repairs, etc.)
- Able to work 36-40 hours a week.
- Basic computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Excell, Word).
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to pass a drug test.
- US Citizen or legal to work in US.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a working ranch hand / labor role and or working foreman position.
