HELP WANTED

EXPERIENCED BILINGUAL HERDSMAN — SPECIALIZED CATTLE CARE AND FARM INFRASTRUCTURE MAINTENANCE

This position in a remote, off grid location on the Mexican border requires a unique combination of experience, knowledge, and skill sets not typically found in a ranch hand job.

Responsibilities:

  • A full-time herdsman in specialized cattle care and farm infrastructure maintenance. Implementing and maintaining a comprehensive cattle care program focusing on habit training and overseeing the wellbeing of show cattle
  • Constructing and maintaining fences to NRCS specifications near the Mexican border
  • Building and maintaining gabions

Requirements:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Minimum of three years experience in the field
  • Extensive knowledge of cattle behavior and care
  • Hands-on experience in habit training
  • Certification in Beef Quality Assurance (BQA)
  • Experience with NRCS fence specification and gabion construction
  • Non smoker and non drinker must pass drug and background check
