North Shore Ranch
The Exotic Game Ranch Manager will oversee and maintain the land, fences, structures, equipment, and wildlife. He/she will ensure the ranch is operating in accordance with the goals and objectives of the ranch. The Ranch Manager will coordinate with owners regularly and ensure all responsibilities are successfully completed in a timely, efficient, and professional manner. Housing is provided, Ranch Manager will live on site.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain ranch infrastructure such as fences, roads, housing, deer blinds, buildings, and ponds.
- Maintain ranch equipment including vehicles, tractors, backhoe, skid steer, and feeders.
- Daily property cleanup including regular cleaning of lodgings, barn, vehicle, and equipment.
- Build bridges as needed.
- Construct structures and blinds as needed.
- Perform wildlife habitat improvements such as planting food plots.
- Ranch beautification including lawn mowing, weed eating, and planting.
- Maintenance and repairing of lodgings and barn.
- Tree clearing.
- Mowing all pastures regularly.
- Ensure all feeders are properly filled and operational.
- Lead and supervise deer hunts, hog hunts, duck hunts, and other hunts.
- Clean, cape, and quarter wildlife for clients.
- Facilitate bird and wildlife watching tours.
- Market and book hunts.
- Regular inspection, repair and construction of fences.
- Predator control – Setting and monitoring traps.
- Maintain all records for hunting operations.
- Wildlife counts.
- Assist clients with target practice and sighting guns.
- Wildlife exemption management.
- Assist with any ranch activities assigned by ranch owner to aid in the development and process of ranching and wildlife operations.
- Be available for questions, emergencies, etc. especially during hunting season.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to work according to a schedule and work weekends to assist with guiding hunts and/or ranch operations.
- Be able to operate and maintain heavy equipment.
- Be able to communicate and have good working relationships with clients, owners, and others.
- Be able to organize and prioritize tasks and identify what work needs to be done.
- Be able to safely shoot and handle firearms.
- Be able to work independently.
- Must have basic bookkeeping skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing and safely operate vehicles including trailers.
Salary: $40,000 plus housing included (valued at $15k)
