Ranch Seeking Horse & RanchCaretaker

Beautiful, serene horse ranch located between Live Oak & Gridley California seeking one ranch caretaker for grounds, housekeeping and agriculture operations. Housing & utilities may be provided (studio room suitable for one person only) as part of compensation.

Job duties include:

Feed horses
Stall and paddock mucking
Turn horses out in pastures, move among pastures and barn
Ensure horse barn, pastures, water troughs, and surrounding areas are cleaned and maintained
Horse care: feed, brush, apply halters and fly masks
Facilities Maintenance (fencing, gates, doors, water faucets, etc.)
Yard Maintenance including mowing, weed eating, watering
Quad operation
Irrigation/Watering
Some housekeeping

Job Requirements include:

Must be drug free
Clear background check
Good communication skills
Ability to lift 25-100 lbs.
Ability to twist, bend, kneel, and climb, and use hand tools
Work is primarily outdoors. Terrain might be slippery, wet, and/or uneven
Must safely operate an ATV/UTV
Ability to adhere to Cantrell Arabians policies and procedures
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, and be self-motivated and a self-starter with the capability of adapting to change throughout the day
Must be honest, dependable, & reliable
Prefer previous equine experience, however all applicants will be considered
