Privately owned ranch looking for honest, dependable, energetic couple to lead our team in the Texas Hill Country.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Monitoring all breeder deer health and safety, work deer through handling facility, AI, darting, fawning season (walk pens 1, 2 or 3 times a day), water and feed at first daylight and provide necessary animal husbandry as needs arise. Previous whitetail deer breeding experience is a plus. Help guide hunters and clean and process harvested game. Fill and maintain feeders. Care for 70+ cattle and wean calves, assist with work on various other properties and construction projects.
Keep accurate records of deer and cattle genealogy. Good verbal and writing communication skills. Must be organized, flexible and wear many hats. Keep up with social media and advertising.
Capable of lifting 50 lbs or more on a regular basis. Basic knowledge of general ranch maintenance and repair.
Skilled in operating ranch equipment. Brush control and fence repair.
Housekeeping for cabin, lodge, ranch house, deer barn and main barn.
