Wheaton Creek Ranch
Hi! We are a 36,000 acre ranch that runs cattle and provides guided hunts. We are located in northeastern New Mexico in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
We are looking for a chef/cook to work September -January during our guided hunt season. Responsibilities include menu planning, grocery shopping (though we hope to establish regular grocery deliveries to the ranch), cooking, and cleaning after a meal. The number of hunters at a time could range from 1 to 8. You would serve two meals a day, brunch and dinner. Our hunters pay for a quality experience, both with the hunts and the lodging and meals. Thus, we would like to find a chef/cook who likes to be creative in the kitchen and provide a memorable culinary experience. This doesn’t mean every meal has to be fancy, but enchiladas every single night won’t work. We like to do things together here, so help in the kitchen, either cooking or cleaning, is definitely possible.
We provide lodging and meals (obviously) and salary is negotiable.
