Private
Northern Arizona cattle ranch looking for camp man. Duties include day to day cow work, maintaining waters, fencing, and corrals, working as part of a crew and alone, managing horse pastures and traps around your camp, taking care of ranch house and yard, taking care of ranch provided vehicle, i.e. checking fluids and communication with shop, putting out mineral block and tubs, and be experienced in all aspects of working cattle.
Positive attitude required, along with a willingness to take direction. This job would be more for a couple or family man as it is a ways from town, personal horses are allowed on a case by case basis, dogs are allowed as long as they are well mannered, to be used at the discretion of ranch manager. No dogs allowed in houses unless crated.
You would be expected to take on at least one young horse and/or yearling to work in your free time. This is a 400,000 acre ranch – there is a lot of driving involved – if all you can do is ride and rope, I don't need you.
Other skills, including welding, carpentry, fence building, windmills, and other aspects of our water infrastructure would be helpful. Before moving significant others and families to ranch, you would need to work at least a 14 day trial period with the boss. Three bedroom house, basic utilities, ranch truck and trailer, and beef provided along with pay.
