Yon Family Farms
Yon Family Farms, located in Ridge Spring, SC, is seeking a cattle herdsman to assist with cow/calf production duties, including, but not limited, to reproductive management, (AI and ET are utilized on the farm) herd health procedures, data collection from birth to marketing, forage/grazing management, cattle ration preparation and feeding, and routine daily herd checks. The applicant does not have to have previous experience in all of the aforementioned, but must have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and integrity.
Yon Family Farms is a large seedstock (Angus, SimAngus, Ultrablack) cattle/forage operation, specializing in the production of herd bulls sold primarily into the commercial cow/calf sector. There is also a small feedlot where steers are developed for local beef sales. Hay, small grains, corn, and pecans are also grown and harvested on the farm.
