Job role and Descriptions:

This position requires the ability to perform the following tasks:

Feed horses
Muck out stalls.
Turn out horses to paddocks.
Wrap horse’s legs.
Assist with veterinary treatments.
Manage employee schedules keeping up to date records on staff schedules ready for payroll.
Order supplies, equipment, and feed.
Supervise employees
Maintain records of horse’s vaccinations and any other products the horse may need (including all worming and vaccinations that the horses need to have a on a regular basis) Arrange transportation to shows or races.
Schedule and provide lessons for jumpers, dressage horses and training rides for beginners and bookings including trail rides and beginners rides, either supervised you or another trainer. All trainers will be vetted by the Owner before employed in any capacity.
Handle the scheduling of routine veterinary visits and Farrier visits.
Repair broken fence boards (if needed to do so if maintenance staff are not available) and equipment such as automatic watering machines.
Provide the care to the horses as laid on in the price list and also adhere to the rules laid out in the property rules.
Book in (when needed) appointments for services provided by the facility i.e. Leg Wrapping, Lessons, Trail rides, Show Transport and Bills, Horse Clipping, Grooming of horses and take and process payment by card with machines provided into the company’s account, giving out printed receipts and retaining a digital copy for services provided so that we comply with any come back for insurance claims. All Services will be paid on the day of bookings and either paid by check or card payment directly to the facilities account. (THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS UNLESS GRANTED BY THE OWNER)
Make sure all borders are informed of any changes to upkeep and continue to make sure that they are all adhering to the rules on the barn.
