Ft. Worth Horseshoe Club
The Ft. Worth Horseshoe Club is looking to add a full-time Barn Foreman to our staff. We are an Equestrian Club and Boarding Facility conveniently located in Fort Worth, just 15 minutes from Will Rogers Coliseum. We are a private club with wonderful amenities and 70 member-owned horses on the property. This job would work closely with the Barn Manager and be responsible for daily supervision of 2 – 3 full-time barn workers, assigning tasks to barn workers to ensure horses are well cared for, helping with daily chores (feeding, watering, turning horses in/out, cleaning and rebedding stalls), keeping the barn clean and organized, and interacting in a courteous and professional manner with the club members and their guests. The ideal candidate must have previous experience working in a barn setting or working with horses, good communication skills, good work ethic, and take pride in their work. Previous supervisor experience is preferred but not required. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their experience in Equine Management.
This is a live-in position and housing will be provided. Housing is a stand-alone studio apartment with paid utilities.
This is not a riding or training position. Starting pay is $18/hour.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of equine health and wellness
- Strong communication/people skills
- Able and willing to perform job duties under extreme weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to drive a tractor and operate farm equipment
- Be a self-starter and be able to effectively supervise a small staff in support of the Barn Manager
Our barns and studio apartment are “No Smoking” facilities. Candidate must provide eligibility documentation to work in the US and must pass a background check.
