‼️ WE ARE HIRING ‼️
We are looking for an assistant rider/colt starter starting immediately!
Someone who can tune one up, hold onto a buck or spook, and tune one down.
REQUIREMENTS:
♦️ RIDE. This is 10-30 head, 5-7 days a week. I do not care when they get ridden, They just all need to be ridden Start at 6 am or noon. Ideally, know, you’re not going to work every single day, but realistically don’t think this is only a Monday, Wednesday, Friday job
♦️ HAVE COLT EXPERIENCE. If you do not have a history with dumb babies, do not apply. They will weed you out before you have the chance to finish your third day
♦️ Meet farriers, haulers, and vets for appointments
♦️ WORK WITH US! (I, and I CANNOT emphasize this enough). When I get an idea in my head, you will likely get a phone call within minutes to hear it.
♦️ MUST HAVE VALID LICENSE
♦️ We own other animals such as pigs, goats, and chickens!
🌵It is really hot outside in Arizona. Horses live outside. You will spend time outside with the horses.
🌵 You will get the chance to ride $80,000 horses, and $800 horses. Sometimes, those $800 horses turn into $80,000 horses and you would never have expected it.
🌵 We do not get to prioritize one over the other, and frankly, they all get treated the same. You will likely spend more time with those on the shorter side of the spectrum.
🌵 Some buck. Some buck kinda hard. If you can’t sit a buck or won’t get back on after a buck, I wouldn’t recommend this job.

Ok, not really, but it comes with the territory of the job. We spend alot of time together. This is not your average industry. We will chat a lot, and I think I am pretty funny. I make a great boss, maybe? I offer to buy breakfast, lunch, and dinner when I am home.
This position is in Dolan Springs, Arizona.
The IDEAL candidate will be someone with sale barn experience.
You have to balance between trainer, and seller. You cannot be too much of either, to do successful and honest work in this business.
I am NOT looking to “teach” someone to work horses. I need someone who can get on something with 5 rides, 1000 rides, or 0 rides when I am not around. Efficient tune-ups are a requirement of the job.
This role is not for the faint of heart. It is more of a lifestyle than a job. I do not have interest in someone who has ridden at summer camps

I know this is a different type of post and position as we provide a little bit of everything from lessons, horse training, sales, breeding, etc and we need someone as invested in growing this business as we are. We have a lot in our back pocket that we hope to move forward with in the next year, and if I can have you along for the ride, I couldn’t be more grateful.
