KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with feeding and care of cattle as instructed, this may include moving pastures, spreading salt/mineral, feeding, etc.
- Examine animals for illnesses, injuries, or other ailments.
- Assist with irrigation flooding
- Operate and routine maintenance of haying equipment
- Maintain fencing or make repairs on fences as needed
- Conduct repairs throughout the ranch as needed
- Other duties as requested.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred, not required
- Up to 1-2 Years experience handling animals and horses preferred
- Comfortable horseback for long hours, skilled with roping a plus
- Basic mechanical skills helpful
- Welding experience preferred
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical a plus
- Able to take directions and a willingness to learn
- General working knowledge of farm equipment
- Attention to detail to ensure animals are secure in a safe environment.
- Able to work in all weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and evenings as needed
- Able to understand constructive feedback and work to improve.
Salary: $36,000-$40,000 Salary, Depending on Experience
