Seeking a married couple, BOTH of whom will work full time, as assistant managers for absentee-owned 8,000 acre ranch near Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
Primary responsibilities between the couple include:
1) care and training of ranch horses and related equipment, and maintenance of horse and jeep trails, and
2) maintenance of grounds and buildings.
– Secondary responsibilities include vast array of typical ranch duties. – –
Ranch runs yearling steers, produces hay, and offers guided elk hunts. Owners and guests, including children aged 5-13, spend approximately 8 weeks per year (summer and winter) in residence.
Candidates should be very sociable and outgoing and should have at least 10 years of ranch related experience. Dude ranch experience especially helpful. We will consider families with children at least 8 years old.
