Seeking a highly motivated, experienced, self-starting individual to become the Assistant Property Manager at family owned ranch. This individual will live on-site or nearby and be involved in all aspects of the operations and maintenance of the grounds and buildings. The Assistant Property Manager will take direction from, and report to, the Property Manager and the owners of the property, a private family.
- Salary $60k-70k depending on experience
- Housing allowance a possibility if relocating to the area
- In season (Apr-Oct) 50+ hours per week
- Off season (Nov-Mar) 10-20 hours per week
Responsibilities:
Maintain and improve the forested lands. This includes clearing deadfall and cleaning the forest to improve aesthetics and lower the danger of Wildfire, as well as, trail construction and design.
Maintain all buildings and roads. Preparation of Main House and property for owner and guest visits, assisting in ongoing improvement projects, removal of trash and recycling, and snow removal. Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans including maintenance schedule/calendar for all equipment, make recommendations for equipment replacement and purchase. Ensure equipment and inventories are properly maintained and securely stored for both operational and safety reasons.
Oversee and understand the operation of all property systems, including:
- HVAC
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- Lighting
- Hot Tub
- Alarm/Security
Oversee and maintain irrigation system.
Provide on-site presence in the absence of the Property Manager.
Operate heavy machinery including Skid Steer, mini excavator, and mid-size tractor with hay cutting attachments.
Maintain landscaping, gardens and fences.
Provide supervision to seasonal employees engaged in property maintenance activities and oversight to various vendors and independent contractors working on the property.
Oversee security of the property and privacy of the Owners.
Keep all road vehicles and equipment maintained and serviced, including routine maintenance, inspections and tracking of warranties and recalls, as well as special needs/requests.
Use sound judgment and discretion to protect the property, employees, and Owners.
The owners are strong advocates of conservation and environmental sustainability. Environmentally friendly practices should be utilized which minimize soil erosion/degradation and optimize natural resources and wildlife.
