Our family-run ranch raises, trains, shows, and keeps a variety of animals of the highest quality and provides one of the best horseback riding experiences to the public in southern California.
We’re currently offering a long term, on-site ranch hand position on our constantly growing ranch to clean-cut, drug & alcohol-free individuals with a passion for ranching and a commitment to excellence. Join our team today, with this opportunity, and advance into a project, livestock, and/or ranch management position as our company grows!
You must have your own trailer for this position. We offer:

This position is right for you if you have a wide variety of general animal and ranch skills, you can provide excellent customer service to ranch guests, and you are a competent horseman. If you have both the grit and grace necessary for this lifestyle and you work hard, with integrity, then Rancho Bravo is the place for you!
Your duties will vary at different times, depending on need and will include, but are not limited to, the following:
*Guide Trail Rides and Provide Great Service to Guests
*Feed, Care For, Clean, and Doctor Animals
*Keep Animal Pens Clean, Sanitary, Healthy, and Presentable
*Build and Repair Pens, Fences, Shelters, Structures
*Perform Building Maintenance (as your skills allow)
*Start Colts, Train Green Horses & Tune up Experienced Horses
*Train Trail Horses & Prep Sale Horses
*Design and Maintain Landscaping
*Maintain Trails
*Drive to Town to Purchase Necessities
*Cook Meals and Clean House
*Tend to the Garden
*Any and All other Ranch Duties as Needed
Disclaimers about this lifestyle and location:
*The ranch is 5 miles up a dirt road (sometimes not passable in bad weather), at 3600ft above sea level, next to a wilderness area, and about 45-60mins from the nearest town
*You will be alone sometimes. Sometimes for long stretches of time
*We breed, raise, slaughter, butcher, and eat animals on the ranch
*Our ranch dogs are livestock and kid proof, and we expect the same from any dog that enters our property.
*Any animals that threaten our livestock or family will not be tolerated
*We have many animals, including dogs and cats, but we do not have any pets
