HELP WANTED Colorado Outfitter is looking for a Wrangler/Packer for the summer and fall hunting season.

J Bar H is a hunting outfitter operating in the National Forrest in northwestern Colorado, this will be our 27th year in operation. We are passionate about our work and strive to provide our clients with the best possible experience. Wranglers and packers need to have a strong work ethic, good horse skills and a positive attitude. Must be a NON – smoker, physically fit and know how to operate a chainsaw. Mule packing experience is a plus, but we are willing to teach the right individual. Work would begin in July and run through mid-November.

Summer duties will include but not limited to:

Clearing trails
Fence repair
Cleaning and repairing tack
Cleaning, preparing and organizing camp gear
Setting backcountry drop camps (prepping tent pads, cutting firewood, setting up tents and camp gear)

Hunting season begins in September and runs through mid-November, duties will include:

Packing hunters and their gear in and out of camp
Packing out their harvested game
Packing hay and supplies into guided camps
Breaking down camps at the end of season
Maintenance projects around the pack station

Meals are provided as well as bunkhouse style lodging. If you have your own horse or mule that you would like to bring that is okay, however we cannot accommodate pets. Looking for an honest, ethical person who wants to be part of a great team.
