Snake River Sporting Club
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Wrangler to join our team here at Snake River Sporting Club. Seasonal, May 1 – September 30, 2025. The Wrangler will be responsible for managing and caring for horses, leading trail rides, and ensuring a memorable western experience for guests. This role requires exceptional horsemanship skills, strong communication abilities, and a willingness to perform a variety of ranch-related tasks. We have a small herd of 20 trail horses, as well as a small boarding program for our members, currently consisting of 10 horses. Mechanical and irrigation skills are a valuable bonus, but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train, saddle, and care for horses daily, ensuring their health and safety.
- Guide guests on trail rides, providing a safe, engaging, and educational experience.
- Maintain equipment, tack, and facilities in excellent condition.
- Assist with ranch maintenance, including fencing, pasture care, irrigation, and repairs.
- Handle guest inquiries and provide top-tier customer service, embodying the spirit of western hospitality.
Qualifications:
- Proven horsemanship skills and experience handling, training, and caring for horses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic and ability to perform physical tasks in outdoor environments.
- Team-oriented mindset with the flexibility to adapt to a variety of tasks.
- Experience hauling trailers is a plus.
- Previous ranch or guiding experience is a plus.
