We are seeking to fill one position for long-term help on a private ranch. The ranch at this time does not have any cattle or onsite living accommodations. We will offer competitive pay and paid time off for the chosen candidate. We hope to have this position filled by the end of January with a start date of February 3rd. Basic Duties:

• Works with the ranch manager.
• Year-round maintenance and upkeep of property grounds.
• Year-round maintenance of irrigation and well systems.
• Year-round maintenance and upkeep of property buildings, equipment, vehicles, fencing and roads.
• Basic handyperson duties, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, light construction, and repair.
• Assist with additional tasks as directed by the ranch manager.

Qualifications:

• Ability to operate tractors and heavy equipment.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
• Ability to work alone and with others.
• Skilled in operating a zero turn and weed eater.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions involved grounds keeping, operating machinery, chainsaws.
• Dependable, punctual, good character, sound decision making skills, mindfulness and self-motivated.
• Assist in fulfilling the wildlife management plan. (Cedar clearing, strip mowing, and other tasks as needed)
• Mechanical skills a plus. (Diesel engines, Small Engines, Polaris upkeep/repairs, etc.)
• Able to work 36-40 hours a week. Monday-Friday between the hours of 7-4 or 8-5. No Weekends.
• Basic computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Excel, Word).
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• US Citizen or legal to work in US.

Experience Required:

• Preferred 5 years experience as a working ranch hand and or skilled-labor role.
