Texas Farm & Process
Earlier this year, the state of Texas passed legislation (HB1325) as an addendum to the federal Farm Bill permitting the cultivation, transport, processing, and sale of industrial hemp. The new program will be active in Q1 next year, following the USDA approval of TDA's proposed internal regulations.
Texas Farm & Process is seeking an experienced agronomist to support our farm partners in west Texas who will be planting their first industrial hemp crops next spring. Most of these operations will be centered around fiber production. This is a full-time position with benefits and starting salary will depend on experience level. Must be highly skilled with a variety of row crops and irrigation systems, soil composition, nutrients, fertigation, and pest management.
All candidates must have a valid driver's license and vehicle, and free of any felony convictions to qualify under the federal regulations. Feel free to email me directly for more information.
