Family-owned 1,800 acre Llano ranch is seeking a highly motivated full-time ranch manager that can meet the following requirements:

• Manage all aspects of our herd of 100 Texas Longhorns. Manage feeding and breeding programs. Administer vaccines, fly control, and dewormer.
• Penning, loading and hauling cattle.
• Improve pasture via brush control, seeding, and invasive plant control.
• Manage all aspects of predator and feral hog control
• Maintain fencing and water sources.
• Maintain detailed cattle records using Cattlemax.
• Manage all aspects of our direct to consumer Longhorn beef program. Duties include marketing, sales, shipping, storage, and hauling cattle to the processor.
• Operate and maintain skid steer, tractors, UTVs, ATVs, and chainsaws. Welding experience is a plus
• Must be trustworthy, able to work independently, and dependable as well as physically capable of doing ranch work (i.e. able to lift 70 lbs).
• Must have good communications skills and a great attitude
• Applicants must provide references, pass a full background check, be legally authorized to work in the US, have a clean driving record, be non-smoking and drug-free
• Manage temporary labor and subcontractors as needed
• Work with the owners on a weekly basis and generate reports as needed

Qualifications:

• Experience with handling, care, and feeding of cattle
• Knowledge and experience with the operation and maintenance of ranch equipment and vehicles (tractor, skid steer, ATVs, chainsaw, bulldozer)
• Physically capable of meeting all ranch work needs
• Bachelor degree in animal science or ranch management, or extensive field experience
• Basic Computer Skills (Excel, Word, Gmail, Google calendar, CattleMax software)
• Valid driver license and clean driving record
• United States citizen or legal to work in the US
