We are looking for a long-term employee who wants a great opportunity to live this amazing ranch lifestyle. We run 450 head of cattle in the Badlands of North Dakota, and are looking for someone to help with all aspects on a working ranch.

Day to day duties of caring for livestock: feeding, doctoring, checking and maintaining water and fences, calving, tagging, branding and all the other things cattle need. We plant about 500 acres and make hay for the critters so tractor work including farming, haying and spraying is required. Maintenance on equipment and mechanical skills and welding are needed. Weed spraying, irrigating, correl building and anything else the ranch may come up with! If you have experience you know how it is.

We are looking for someone/someone’s who works well along side us but can be trusted to handle things on your own. I need to be gone most weekends all winter long for my kids sports so I need someone who can be there to feed on the weekends. Six days a week most of the time, possibly 7 during calving and haying. We use horses and 4-wheelers so this is not strictly a cowboy job. You really can’t beat our community and neighbors.

There is housing on the ranch. We are pretty secluded, 35 miles from several small towns. Sidney, MT/ Alexander, ND/ Watford City, ND (school district we are in) it is over 10 miles to the bus stop.
