Are you and your partner ready for an unforgettable experience at a picturesque ranch? Circle Bar B Guest Ranch, nestled in the stunning Gaviota coastal region of the Santa Ynez Mountains, is seeking a dedicated couple—a talented chef/cook and an experienced wrangler—to join our team!

Wrangler Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of horse handling, including round-ups, pasturing, grooming, hoof care, saddling, feeding, and watering for our herd of 50 horses.
Maintain positive, respectful communication with guests, co-wranglers, the Head Wrangler, and the owner.
Provide pre-ride instructions on safe riding and horsemanship.
Assist guests with mounting and dismounting, adjusting tack, fitting helmets, and offering riding aid.
Lead engaging, safe horseback rides of 1.5 to 4 hours, showcasing breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.
Perform barn management, including manure removal and stall cleaning.
Maintain gear, tack, and other equipment and document reservations, rides, and horse care accurately.
Ensure trail, fence, and corral maintenance while following safety procedures for guests, staff, and horses.
Greet and check in guests, ensuring proper completion of release forms and payment processing.

Wrangler Qualifications:

Significant experience with horses required, including tacking and untacking.
Ability to work in all weather conditions and maintain a positive attitude while on your feet or in the saddle.
Starting colts and riding green horses is a plus.
Knowledge and experience operating heavy equipment a plus.

Chef/Cook Responsibilities:

Prepare delicious, high-quality meals for guests utilizing fresh, local ingredients, focusing on seasonal produce when possible.
Create and manage weekly menus that cater to various dietary preferences and restrictions, ensuring a diverse dining experience.
Oversee meal preparation for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including special events and group meals.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
Coordinate with kitchen staff and other team members to manage food inventory, order supplies, and minimize waste.
Develop relationships with local suppliers to source the best ingredients and enhance the culinary experience.
Engage with guests to understand their preferences and provide an inviting dining atmosphere.
Participate in events and themed dinners to create memorable culinary experiences for guests.

Salary: Wrangler – $2,600/month net, plus housing, utilities, and cash tips. Chef/Cook – $20+/hour DOE
