Independent Contractor Position located in S.W. Washington State. Seeking long-term assignment for a grounded, mature, experienced Ranch Hand Assistant (individual or couple only) to aide retired owners in 24/7 care of horses, dogs and cats and upkeep of SMALL ranch property.
Must have extensive horse knowledge and implement “polished Natural Horsemanship skills” (would prefer Clinton Anderson, Roy Hunt or Parelli methods or something similar) in caring for and riding western saddle trained horses large and small and working with owners in training, Hippotherapy sessions with others (including those with special health needs on occasion).
Experience and Knowledge of how to use Riding mower, Tractors, ATV’s, fencing tools, know how with basic tools of the trade for ranch upkeep, barn repairs etc. installation, repair fencing, “general handyman work”. Helping out and assisting owners with errands, feed store runs, preparing feed bags, grain and supplements for a 4 time a day feeding and work out schedule etc.
Must be able to lift bales etc. and have sound physical strength to perform the laborious parts of the job daily. Possibility of future housing available if and when skill set proves invaluable to owners.
List all ranch and farm equipment you have experience working with that you do not require supervision to work with.
