Point and Flush Gun Dogs
We are seeking a skilled and experienced upland/waterfowl dog trainer and hunting guide to join our team in Potosi, WI. This position can be full or part-time and housing is available if needed. The salary for this position will be based on years of experience.
Responsibilities:
- Train and work with a variety of hunting dog breeds, including English setters, German shorthaired pointers, German wirehaired pointers, and British labs
- Develop and implement training programs for hunting dogs to ensure they are well-behaved and effective in the field
- Guide hunting trips for clients, providing a safe and enjoyable hunting experience
- Maintain and care for hunting dogs, ensuring they are in peak physical condition and health
- Assist with general maintenance and upkeep of hunting equipment and facilities
Qualifications:
- Previous experience training and working with hunting dogs, particularly upland/waterfowl breeds
- Knowledge of hunting techniques and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays
