Job Title – Ranch Hand/Equipment Operator
Employment Type – Full Time
Job Location – Eustace, TX (1 hr from Dallas, in East Texas)
Salary: $30,000.00 – $35,000.00 per year
Position Summary
As a Ranch Hand, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the daily operations of a ranch. Duties may include operating heavy machinery, feeding and caring for animals, maintaining equipment and facilities, repairing fences, and assisting with seasonal activities such as planting food plots. The role requires physical stamina, knowledge of basic ranching practices, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for success in this hands-on position.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance tasks, including fence repair, checking water sources, and general property upkeep.
- Operate and maintain ranch equipment, such as skid steer, backhoe, tractors, mowers, and other tools.
- Routine landscape maintenance
- Routine lake maintenance
- Support Trail Management and Clearing
- Prescribed burn assistance
- Support Equipment and Vehicle maintenance and clean up
- Assist with livestock/wildlife care, as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the overall well-being and productivity of the ranch.
- Perform routine inspections and repairs for lodge structures, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or issues that may arise.
- Address lodge-related emergencies promptly and efficiently.
- Assist in ranch related projects
- Support hospitality tasks occasionally

Requirements:
- Previous experience in ranch operations and maintenance.
- Proficient in operating and maintaining ranch equipment.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform tasks related to manual labor.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of basic animal husbandry is a plus.
- Driver’s License (Required)

Education & Experience
- Ranch Hand: 3 years (Preferred)
- Animal husbandry: 3 years (Preferred)
- Heavy machinery experience-Skid Steer, Tractor, Backhoe, Dozer, etc. 3 years (Required)
