Kinloch Farm
Job Summary:
Kinloch Farm is hiring for an experienced farm hand. This position will partake in all aspects of the farm operation with a focus on whole team support. The farm hand will work with the Farm Manager to execute all farm strategy and daily work. Primary Responsibilities:
- Livestock handling, fencing, trailering, and moving animals in pastures
- Support the Farm Manager in daily workflow tasks
- Assist with pasture management, including mowing, seeding, haying, and brush clearing
- Set up, move, repair, and store fencing
- Transporting animals to the processing facility with a trailer
- Assist the Farm Manager with veterinary care and treatment of sick and injured animals as well as regular preventative care
- Ability to monitor animal health and communicate concerns
- Assist with livestock and pasture record keeping
- Assist with care and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and machinery
- On call for cattle, facility, and/or weather related emergencies
- Ability to effectively communicate to all members of the farm team
Qualifications:
- 3 years in a cattle program
- Experience in a team setting
- Experience operating heavy machinery, UTV’s, and a truck and trailer
- Experience using portable electric fence
- Strong work ethic with initiative to always see the next task
- Compassion for livestock well being
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Efficiently get your work done, but also being cognizant of real time surroundings and adjusting the work based off of what you’re observing
- Willingness to always being open to continuing your education and adapting
- Completion of Understanding Ag RegenAg 101 webinar within 6 months of hiring
Compensation:
- Housing is provided and required for this position
- Annual salary of $45,000-$50,000 depending on experience

Availability:
This position will require nights, weekends, emergencies, and holidays as needed
