Ranch Hand/Property Manager For Couple Or Individual in Beautiful Colorado
We are seeking a unique individual or team to join our ranch. We raise rare breed gourmet and fancy poultry as well as operate a small, private, high quality equestrian facility in one of the most beautiful areas of the country.
The right candidate for the job should be:

*able to multi-task, “wear many hats” and be flexible
*work well alone yet be able to follow directives from the owners
This position is demanding but also very rewarding for the individual or team who loves to work outdoors in a fast paced environment and being physically fit. The job comes with a lot of responsibility, long hours and few days off. Much of the day work is performed unsupervised but there will be daily and weekly task lists to be performed efficiently. Accountability to these lists is key to a good working farm.
This position encompasses the following job responsibilities and chores:
*Daily feeding, watering and caring for chicks, chickens and horses
*All aspects of property maintenance, operations and repair to pastures, barns, coops, stalls, equipment….
*Egg handling and packing/shipping out for sale
*Transportation of livestock to the processor
*Housekeeping of the barn and main house
*Turnout/in of horses and chickens
*Mucking all living areas for horses and chickens (daily for horses, weekly for chicken/chicks as needed)
*Errand running for farm
*Ordering supplies
The above duties list the majority of what the job entails but as it is a farm, it is only a partial list. We are looking for someone who can offer assistance in all areas of operating the farm/ranch and property, whatever those needs may be.
Details:
• Starting salary of $1,400 a month ($700 bi-monthly)
• A small, private 1 or 2 bedroom apartment (same SF) which includes all bills, utilities (W/D on-site), high speed internet and all channels on Directv also provided. The apartments are in excellent condition and 750 sq ft. each. Each apartment carries a value of $1200 monthly with all utilities and extras (Directv/internet) included.
*Eggs and chicken (processed) from the farm provided weekly. Value $200 monthly
*$400 end of year bonus for exemplary work
Requirements:
We prefer individuals, teams or couples with previous ranch/farm experience as we feel it is highly important for the right person(s) to completely understand what farm life is all about. However, it is not a requirement. We feel it is more important for the right candidate(s) to possess and be able to demonstrate an excellent work ethic, such as willingness to work in all kinds of weather, punctuality, accountability, as well as being able to handle the daily issues that pertain to life and death of livestock. Most importantly, it is essential that the right candidate(s) understand that farm life is hard work filled with long days of manual labor and sacrifice but the rewards are immeasurable.

Qualified candidates will likely be asked to visit the ranch for a working interview in order to see if the job is a good fit for both parties. Possible reimbursement for some travel expenses may be negotiated pursuant to a job offer given.
