Boys Ranch was founded by Cal Farley in March of 1939. He became an accomplished businessmen and humanitarian, establishing himself a well-earned reputation in advocating for at risk youth. Over the years, Boys Ranch has become the leading national provider of residential care – having served children from all 50 states. The residents served by the Boys Ranch community are surrounded by relationships and opportunities which build resilience and responsibility. Serving over 300 youth and young adults annually through our residential, independent living, and family engagement programs – Cal Farley’s continues to make a difference by creating a more positive trajectory for our clients and their families.
We are now accepting applications for dedicated and energetic House Parents! We are a non-profit organization providing home-like settings for youth. A House Parent has the responsibility of providing essential supervision, structure, and helps to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the residents in their care.

Job Responsibilities Summary:
House parents are incredibly critical members of the community, they work in tandem with the program and direct care teams to provide daily supervision to the residents of Boys Ranch. They build and maintain healthy, positive relationships throughout the boys ranch campus and provide structure, guidance and facilitate positive interactions within the home. Additionally, they provide a nurturing environment and are instrumental in the development of social and relational skills, and are entrusted with the health, safety and well-being of each resident in their care.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Experience in childcare is preferred.
- Computer knowledge is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess exceptional time management and detail-oriented skills.
- Must reside on campus in housing provided.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license. A commercial driver’s license is preferred.
- Must be available for travel as needed.
