Seeking entry level wildlife focused ranch hand.
We have no domestic livestock or horses. Our focus is management of white-tailed deer. Work duties will include filling deer feeders, cleaning deer feeders/water troughs, cleaning hunting vehicles, providing service to guests, harvesting and cleaning deer, taking care of guests needs at ranch, keeping the barn clean and organized, vacuuming deer blinds and cleaning windows in blinds seasonally. Lifting 300 pound deer onto gurney and carrying that animal through the brush for several hundred yards or into hunting vehicle.
Servicing equipment, running equipment, experience operating motor GRADER is a bonus, tractor operator, mechanical abilities a plus.
Potential opportunity to be trained in chemical immobilization of white-tailed deer for our DMP program as well as administering vaccinations.
Hunting season requires 60+ hours a week. Summers are long hot days. Working during holidays hunting season is required.
Note, we are not a commercial hunting operation, and we do not have scientific breeder deer.
No experience or degree required, but experiences in fields or skillsets listed above may be beneficial in your ranking against other applicants for the hiring process.
Salary: $51,000: housing/utilities provided, 2 weeks paid vacation, 401K matches up to 6%, portion of health and other benefits covered, a raise every year:(Contract required)
