Golden Spirit Alpaca Ranch
Golden Spirit Alpaca Ranch is looking for an experienced, hard-working, and motivated individual to supervise employees and activities our alpaca ranch. Golden Spirit Alpaca Ranch is home to an alpaca herd of over 200 Suri and Huacaya and sits on over 100 acres of beautiful land in Odessa, FL. The ranch owners are continually expanding and need full-time coverage. The individual we are looking for must be willing to relocate. This is a lifestyle and not an 8-5 job, since it requires 24/7 availability.
The individual we are looking for must have experience in:
• Animal husbandry
• Managing people and activities; education and evaluation
• Working with others and creating/maintaining a team environment
• Equipment operation, maintenance, repairs, and service
• Pasture management
• Drainage and irrigation
• Fencing
Some job duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Year round ranch supervision
• Care for alpaca herd
• Awareness of herd health, breeding and birthing
• Maintain pasture & grounds
• Maintain fencing
• Halter & lead training
• Operate & maintain equipment
• Travel to shows
• Business development
• Supervise, evaluate approximately 8 employees
Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic. Livestock experience is critical to understand the business and to plan for future success.
