Looking to fill a full time position on a ranch in western Nebraska. We run cattle and custom hay in the summer. In the winter we feed cattle and work on machinery, fencing, etc. We have small amounts of farming to produce hay for our cattle. This is a working position, so you will be in various machinery or helping with cattle work. Horseback riding is seasonal and not every day/extensive as most work is done with ATVs.
Must be a self-starter, be motivated, and willing to work long days with 3 or 4 individuals during the busy times.
Must have an excellent mechanical aptitude and willingness to help in other areas of the ranch, such as fencing, haying, calving, feeding cattle, and equipment maintenance among other things. Shop mechanic experience preferred.
Three bedroom house available. Non-smoker preferred. No pets. Must have valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required, willing to get one in order to haul hay and cattle locally with semis is a plus).
Clean record and background check required.
