IMMEDIATE FULL-TIME OPENING. Purebred Hereford ranch, western Nevada.
Genoa Livestock is seeking an experienced herdsman to assist with our registered Hereford operation, located in Carson Valley, NV, about 1 hour south of Reno. Please see www.genoalivestock.com to learn about us, our ranch and our breeding objectives. We are not a “cowboy” operation, so if you want to ride ‘n rope – we aren’t for you.
This position will assist with livestock management, herd health, AI breeding and calving. Also general ranch duties including equipment operation and maintenance.
Qualifications: Seedstock or solid cow/calf experience; AI skill a plus; strong cattleman mindset; customer service oriented; mechanical skills.
This is a FULL TIME position, OPEN IMMEDIATELY. We are offering a very competitive compensation package including a nice 3bd/2ba home on the ranch, basic utilities, health insurance, use of a ranch vehicle. Starting salary based on experience with annual raise and performance bonuses. Great opportunity for the right person.
