Clean-up, maintenance, and groundskeeping work available on farm/ranch in central Montana, north of Lewistown. We raise cattle and wheat and do our own dryland haying. This is a small-scale operation and we use older equipment.
Work varies by season, and can include but is not limited to: maintenance of buildings and equipment, washing and waxing equipment, keeping sheds and buildings clean and in good repair, helping with farm work such as haying and harvesting, building and repairing wire fences and wooden corrals, helping with cattle work as needed, yard work, mowing, weed-eating, picking up trash, cleaning barns and outbuildings, spreading manure, and other general ranch chores.
You will need to be willing to do menial tasks. The ranch is a drug, alcohol, and tobacco free workplace. Wages are negotiable and depend on experience.
This is neither an internship nor management position. Recent experience in farming and ranching is preferred. The ideal candidate will be responsible and trustworthy, have a good attitude, and be willing to take direction and work alone or with others.
