ARRR Rescue and Retirement Ranch
We are seeking an experienced ranch hand to work part time in exchange for a small, semi-furnished apartment with utilities included. This is an all seasons, long-term position.
Duties include animal care (providing water, feed, medications, cleaning and the like) for rescued farm animals. Currently we have horses, donkeys, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks and cats.
Estimated hours are two 6-8 hour days a week, plus a half to 1 hour on the remaining five days every week and the possibility of being called on to help in emergencies. In other words, approximately 20 total hours every week in exchange for living quarters with paid utilities on the ARRR Ranch.
There will be times when the full-time hand is unavailable to work. The part-time person will be asked to fill in. However in this case the part-time person will be paid an hourly wage (DOE) on top of the living quarters.
Living quarters: 1-bedroom, ground level, semi-furnished, not fancy but appliances are only about five years old and flooring is new.
We expect all employees to be honest, reliable, trustworthy, kind, sober and clean while working, and to demonstrate maturity. This job will also require some heavy lifting and ability to handle equipment such as a skidsteer.
