Stockdale Ranch
Private family horse ranch needs a land caretaker to manage all aspects of the property on a daily basis. We are located outside of Bakersfield, California.
We are looking for someone who can do the following:
Horse care (daily feeding and caring for the horses)
Landscaping (Mowing, weed eating and general upkeep of the property, irrigating horse pastures and residential areas)
Must be able to drive a tractor for pasture mowing, and operate landscape machinery, tools, and riding power.
Individual requirements-highly motivated, honest, hardworking, non-smoker, and able to work with little or no supervision all hours of the day. English is required. Must be willing to follow instructions and communicate effectively with owners of the ranch. Flexibility is important because sometimes you have to care for a sick horse, even broken water pipes, or something out of the daily routine.
Taking care of the horses is only a small portion of the day. The rest of the day is routine manual labor projects.
This is a 7:00 to 5:00 job other than if there is an emergency with a horse or broken water pipes, etc.
