Southeastern Montana farm and ranch is seeking a full time year around assistant manager. Large highly diversified farm and ranch using some of today’s newest technologies. Applicant needs to have a minimum of 3 years experience in similar field.
Must be willing to work long hours and deal with having minimal days off during planting, harvest, haying, and calving. Needs to be proficient in operation of late model Deere and case equipment. Will need to have basic welding and mechanic skills.
Equipment maintenance will be one of the responsibilities. Large modern working facilities and shop. Basic knowledge of cattle health, doctoring, and feeding is required. This will not be a job for someone looking for a Montana adventure. This job will require common sense and work ethic, along with some self motivation. There will be opportunity for performance bonuses and an option to own and run some cattle after the first year.
Very nice housing available for a family, with utilities and beef included. Remote area, Walmart is 70 miles away. School is 14 mi away but House is located on school bus route.
