A very well-known and reputable cattle feedlot in Iowa is currently in need of the right individual for an Assistant Manager position. They are looking for someone who has put in their time working with cattle operations that can come in and learn the company from the ground up to eventually phase into a management role. It is a great opportunity for someone to learn both the outside and inside duties of a management position with a very respected company that will help to open doors, and personally become well known within the industry providing the ability to enhance your career. This individual must have the desire to contribute to the growth and reputation of not only themselves, but the company and overall industry as a whole.
Responsibilities:
– Contribute to overall health and wellbeing of livestock
– Delegate tasks and responsibilities to crews
– Balance managing outside operations with learning and contributing to office work
Requirements:
– 5+ years of cattle operations experience
– Management/Supervision experience
– Understanding of the feedlot process
– Knowledge of genetics / seed stock
– Ability to communicate both verbally and written
– “Hands-on”, “Lead by example” mentality
Salary: $45,000 – $55,000 DOE
